2026 HOSA International Leadership Conference

This last month, our very own Idaho HOSA had the honor of attending the 2026 International Leadership Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana! From June 18th-22nd, our members joined thousands of future health professionals from around the world for an unforgettable week of learning, leadership, and competition. Students were able to expand their healthcare knowledge by attending educational symposiums, competing in their events, exploring the career expo, networking with healthcare professionals, and so much more!

Not only did Idaho HOSA have an incredible experience at our State Leadership Conference, but our members also represented Idaho with excellence on the international stage! We are so proud to recognize the outstanding competitors who earned top recognitions at this year’s conference:

2nd Place in Phlebotomy

Belinda Perez Villegaz (Jerome High School)

Top 10 in Sports Medicine

Sessily Schneider (Mountain View High School)

Top 10 in Nursing Assisting

Kaylee Hanh (Borah High School)

Top 10 in Parliamentary Procedure

Alison Pitman, Kylie Meyer, Emily Davis, Halle Nielsen, Dylan Ellington, and Izzy Sverdlov (Meridian Medical Arts Charter High School)

Top 10 in CPR/First Aid

Beyond the excitement of HOSA, our members also had the opportunity to experience everything Indianapolis has to offer! From watching vintage races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to cheering on the Indiana Fever featuring Caitlin Clark, students enjoyed some of the city’s most iconic attractions. They also explored the Indiana State Museum, visited the Indianapolis Zoo, and admired the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. These experiences gave members the chance to connect, make lasting memories, and enjoy all that Indianapolis had to offer outside of the conference!

Overall, ILC 2026 was an incredible success, and we couldn’t be more proud of every Idaho HOSA member who represented our state with professionalism, passion, and dedication. Congratulations to all of our competitors, and we can’t wait to see what next year holds for the future healthcare professionals of Idaho!
