Deciding to pursue a career in the health professions is admirable. As a student member of HOSA, you’ll have opportunities to explore careers while developing your teamwork and leadership skills. Since HOSA is a student-led organization, you’ll elect student officers for your chapter, conduct meetings, and make decisions with your officer team. Here are some resources to help you make the most of your HOSA experience.
Chapter advisors are the backbone of Idaho HOSA. Whether you’re a new or veteran teacher or advisor, there’s a lot to learn about teaching health science, sponsoring a HOSA chapter, and effectively sponsoring a chapter. The good news is you don’t need to know it all to be a good HOSA advisor. Use these resources to find everything you need to be an effective advisor.
If you want to start a new HOSA chapter at your school, contact Gina Lyman at 208-429-5553.

The Student Leadership team is excited to announce a new opportunity for all 2024-2025 affiliated members. We have partnered with the Western Idaho Fair and will host a CTSO Day at the fair. It will be August 23, 2025. On this day students from each CTSO will be judged on projects related to their CTSO. The goal of this day is to promote our Idaho CTSOs and bring awareness to the community of all the work our students do. It is also an opportunity for students to compete and possibly earn prize money!
