2025 WLA Conference

Although our HOSA state officers are always busy trying to help serve our members, their schedules were especially full during the month of September. During this time, they got the opportunity to attend the Washington Leadership Academy in the District of Columbia.

This conference included a vast number of activities that can be utilized to help our state officers increase their leadership skills. Commonly throughout this trip you could find them sitting in on informational sessions and learning, networking, and collaborating with other HOSA officers.

Beyond lecture-based events, they were able to have hands-on experiences. First, they tested their sociability skills by walking through the National Mall and sharing how to donate and join the registry from NMDP. Along with that, they met with representatives from the House and Senate to allow our officers to express the importance of HOSA and funding for Career Technical Education.

Lastly, they got to see the beautiful sights of Washington, D.C. while paying tribute to the tomb of the unknown soldier. As the officers stood side by side, they were able to experience a true ceremony of honor.

All in all, now that the officers have gained more knowledge and new informative experiences, they are ecstatic to use it to elevate their leadership abilities. Along with passing it on to their fellow HOSA students.
